What do you Wanna Do?

Wannado City is a very different kind of amusement park in Southern Florida. This is a city where the kids run the show and the parents sit back and watch. It is a great place with a safe environment where kids can explore on their own. They can try a career, cash a pay check, cook some pizza, go to a circus and spend their hard earned money.

“In the real world, kids are told “do this” or “don’t do that.” But at Wannado City ®, kids make the decisions. They learn independence, patience and the value of making choices. While the kids are gearing up to go, here are a few tips for you to plan your visit.”

Parents are not normally allowed to stay with their children when doing an activitiy. Because of this children and parents wear bracelets so they can be found at anytime by a built in GPS. There are even special lounges with WiFi so parents can relax. If you are a parent like me, with a special needs child, you may not feel comfortable just letting them go. If your child needs your assistance you can go to guest services and get a pass to stay with your child. I try to shadow Ian, but let him do everything on his own.

Wannado is one of his favorite places to go even though it is a 2hr drive from our house. Everytime he explores a little more on his own and tries something new. This time he cooked his own pizza and flew a jet plane. I think Wannado City is a great place to work on social skills and explore with other kids.
