Ice! At Gaylord Palms

Ice! At Gaylord Palms

They said it would be 4F, and was it! It was cold!!! I had Chewy wear boots as I knew we would be walking on ice. They do provide you heavy long parkas which you must wear. We forgot to take gloves and I highly suggest you take them. If you forget, they have a store there were you can buy them.

When you enter there are two shows they have everyone sit through telling the story of Ice. If you let them know you have special needs children that can not sit through it, they will let you skip it.

The kids had a blast seeing all the ice sculptures. They are not allowed to touch any of the sculptures so I suggest covering this rule in advance. At the entrance there is one ice wall that they can feel. We hung out here for a little bit until their hands were getting cold and they did not want to touch anymore ice. The slides were fun and the wait was minimal. They do have a smaller slide for the little kids, but there is not a wheelchair accessible ramp. The Ice! Experience probably took an hour when we took our time.

Afterwards we went into Gaylord Palms. While Munchkin was e-mailing Santa, the big guy walked right up behind him and gave him a hug! Priceless!!! Then we spent hours in the courtyard of the hotel getting free hot chocolate and searching for hidden holiday gnomes. The kids actually had more fun at Gaylord Palms then Universal.

Have you been to ICE! at Gaylord Palms? If so, please share your experience and insight.
Have any questions, please ask and and we will be glad to answer them.
