Autism Cruise to Key West - Day 4

Autism Cruise to Key West - Day 4

Our final day of the cruise was in beautiful and interesting Key West. We could not have asked for a day with better weather. A group of us traveling with Autism on the Seas decided to do a walking tour of Key West.

We decided we would walk to the Southernmost point. Along the way we saw the Hemingway House which is the Ernest Hemingway Museum.img_1122My son enjoyed searching for the approximately 60 cats on the property and learning about them. The house and gardens are gorgeous and it is a great place to stop on the way.

Then it was back to the cruise ship. The last night is always the hardest for my son. He realizes that the cruise vacation is coming to an end and we are heading home.  Personally I book another cruise while we are on-board and this does two things, it lets him know this is not the last and I we get a discount on our next cruise.  On the last night we went to Johnny Rockets after the farewell show.  Then it was back to the cabin to pack.

In the morning we joined our friends for breakfast. Then it was time to say our goodbyes and head home. My son was so tired that the second he was in the car he fell asleep and slept the whole car ride.

We had a fantastic time on the cruise and can’t wait to go again. You can join us our next cruise with Autism on the Seas in August as we sail to Cozumel, Coco Cay and Key West with our new service dog Giney.
